So, I didn’t work out yesterday because I was sick. I’m still sick today (blech!) but at least I was able to do a light workout…I walked (lol, like a little ole mall-walker) 2 miles in the beautiful sunshine, ended up sneezing my life away as a result, and then did 45 minutes of Pilates and 15 minutes of abs. I don’t wanna get off track, so I had to do something, ya dig? Here’s Week 3’s progress:

It’s still a nice lil layer of fat over me…sux cause I know men in “real life” like that
but that’ll come off with more cardio. The bright spot is the muscle memory has kicked in and it’s on like _______ (insert clever metaphor here). Getting ready for vacay, ready for summertime pool parties, ready for video shoots. Bring it, shawty!

Today I started my “annual” go hard thing….I’m gonna drop 10 lbs in 4 weeks. It always seems that in the winter/colder months I let 5-10 pounds creep up on me. Guess ’cause I’m all covered up or something….then it gets warm and I promptly get that ish off me! Now some may say, “You don’t need to lose no damn 10 pounds!” Some may say, “Gon’ head and make it 15!” (I emphatically say fuck those people, lol). But reality is, I’m doing it for me. Though I’m cool where I am now- and my shawty likes it
– I like my body most when it’s super tight and toned. Nothing’s more sexy than the confidence a healthy body gives me, sooooo, yeah…10 IN 4!
I decided that one way to help keep me accountable and on track with this is to share the process with yall. So let’s see…I’m 5′8″ and at 145 right now. The goal is 135. I did a little “prep-work” last week (jumping rope and pilates) to ease into these harder workouts. Today I ran 3 miles then did about 10 constant minutes of ab work. I’m gonna run 3-5 miles, 5 days a week for the next month. On Tuesdays and Thursdays (time permitting) I may do 2 workouts a day, something like kickboxing, dance class, etc., to switch it up. Sundays I’ll do yoga to stretch it all out. I also started a 10-day cleanse/detox tonight. Fun stuff! :-/
This isn’t new to me, so I’m looking forward to the results. I’m also gonna be doing a really fly shoot soon with a dope photographer, so look for that. It should be extra sexy.
So with that, I’m outta here. Stay tuned to see them numbers drop! I’ll post a “before” pic tomorrow….I’m looking crazy right now (lol). Orrrr, from the other night….
