Just another manic…Sunday?
Posted: April 21, 2009 at 12:07 am | Tags: party timeYesterday was a day, indeed. Whew! I went to late service and then headed to Barnes and Noble to get some reads (I still love to read, yup!). I was thinking, “I’ll be on my calm-grown-woman-ish today.” Yeah, that didn’t last long. After a visit to the nail shop to get primped for the parties I was attending that night, I went home, got dressed and headed downtown to the Tyler Perry movie wrap party. It was at a really cool spot and of course I invited the homies.

Open bar and free (good) food? Can’t beat that with a bat. After dancing myself into a sweaty frenzy-yes they were getting it poppin’ at the Event Loft!- I did a quick change and headed to The Velvet Room for Akon’s birthday party hosted by Diddy. Um, pure craziness. It was soooo packed!

Too many people there, for sure, but we walked right in and to a table…where it was far too packed as well. After being molested (lol), getting passed too many drinks (Nuvo & Patron mixed is a recipe for lightweight disaster!) and…other stuff…, and getting a drink thrown all over my new outfit because of a fight that broke out, it was time to jet.
Ahhh, the night didn’t end there, but that’s where the story ends. I’ll just say that my life is a crazy, and always adventurous one. More adventure this week when I’ll be heading west. Stay tuned….
