I woke up this morning and this song was just on my mind (bad/good, good/bad dream, perhaps?). I’m not sure how diverse my readers are, so I don’t know if you’ve ever heard this song or seen the video, but it’s a song I used to rock to alot. Actually, I loved this whole CD. This is “Trouble” by Pink.

I only have vids of this girl group to post because none of the others have any visuals to compare to….
So this is Electrik Red’s new single “So Good.” I know it came out a few days ago, or last week, but I’m just seeing it today. I was reading some of the blog responses, and even though this group may technically be competition, I gotta say I think most of the blog responses were some hater-ish ish! I think these chicks are cute and have personality for days. The song is…cute. The visual, though very basic and bare, was cute for them as well. I mean, uhhhh….I mean Melrose is….ya know
but I’m not mad at it. I don’t think they’ll catapult into the stratosphere with this one, but it’s cool. I was thinking it was gonna be some hot garbage! What do y’all think?
I, honestly, don’t know if it’s the best sign that this is their THIRD single (did ya know that?)…but then again, it took Keyshia a few times to catch on, too. Look at me being all political and diplomatic and schwwweeeeeet!!! Lol. Here’s the 2nd single, “Friend Lover”
Siiiiiiigh…..I can’t wait til the button is pushed on Melrose….I’ll leave it at that!

Today (and yesterday) was just one of those days….didn’t make any money, down to my last A.K.A. I’m broke (and no, I don’t mean like I’m down to my last G, or hundred….think lower…), then in the middle of trying to take care of some stuff, I lock my frikkin’ keys in my car! Really?! Woooosaaaaah….it’s all good. It’s all good. It’s all good. That’s what I keep saying to myself. Pretty soon I’ll laugh about this day and days like it. So let’s start the laughing now, shall we….
Dude is my homie!!!

When I first heard she was going to be on the show, I immediately went into “root-for-the-underdog” mode a’la Britney Spears….I hoped she’d do a great job. And lo and behold, she did! And didn’t look half bad (maybe even cute!) doing either! Go ‘head, Kimmy

Today I’m in a really good mood because I’ve been extra productive. Helped to facilitate the set up of the ***new***Melrose website & revamped Myspace (whoo-hoo!!!) and I’m about to follow up on all the writing session contacts I made this week. Yeah, man! I’m floating!
PLUS, I got the ruffs of the songs Kelee and I did out in LA last week. Yummy! They’re so good…I cannot wait until all of you can hear the stuff we’ve been working on. It’s good to have the creative juices flowing again. Creativity and some sort of innovation is always beautiful. We’ll be doing official PR blasting next week, spear-headed by the new images and the “Blame It” remix, so AHEM!!! ATTENTION all alleged Melrose fans, Mylah supporters, Kelee supporters, and BeatStreet followers…get ready to put your money where your mouth is!!! We’re gonna need your support to help make this ish pop! I know yall got us
Speaking of innovation, I’m late, but uhhh, I just peeped the Lil Wayne video for “Prom Queen” and I DIGS THAT S**T!!! I may become a buyer of his stuff after all! Of course I can’t post the full vid from youtube here, but here’s a peek if you missed it.

In honor of Melrose’s song, “KandiSto” (hitting a radio near you hella soon!!!!) I decided to post a virtual “KandiSto” of menz that me and Miss Kelee fancy. Of course we know a couple choice candies in our real lives
but uhhhh….ya know. We can’t blast our biz like that, nor do we wanna inflate heads! Lol. But these dudes could be in our videos any day, though!

(Since once I got home, I had no internet access…..tears!!!)
I’m on the plane and 45 minutes away from Atlanta, rocking to that Ryan Leslie. This album is pretty darn dope if I do say so myself. People are sleeping. Or maybe it’s because it’s so New York that the masses aren’t getting it. Whatever it is, I like it a lot. “Valentine” is my ish!!! So simple and grooved-out. Yeah, man.
Actually Kelee and I were on that simple and grooved out tip with this new round of recording. We did 6 new joints and they are FANTASTIC! Seemed we loved each new song better than the last! Yall got to hear the “KandiSto” snippet….fire. Trust there is so much other music coming that can eff with that, though. For instance, the one we recorded last night/this morning before I hopped on the plane…it’s called “Fall.” It could possibly be my favorite Melrose song and it’s definitely my favorite vocal performance. Perhaps EVER! Whoohooo!
Sorry I never got that cord for my cameras to upload pix and vids (well, videos other than the Mac videos). Now it’s catch up time. Here are some random studio flicks:
