Have you ever gone out to a club, lounge, venue, etc. and seen someone dressed in some mess you’d have never dreamed up? You wonder to yourself, “Are they really serious right now?! And are their friends really their friends to have let them walk out the door looking like that?” I’ve played with the idea of doing this kind of blog for a minute, but I was like, “Naaaaaah. I don’t know if I really want to blatantly blast people, especially here in Atlanta. That would be mean!” Lol. But hey, why not. They’re being mean to all of us by assaulting our eyes with their foolishness!
I kid, I kid! But today’s blog is a “No ma’am!/Yes ma’am” blog where I’m gonna take actual pix from the night life photo websites that some of these people break their necks to pose for and show who is doing it right, and who did it oh-so-wrong. Oh, and to keep with the positives, I’ll be throwing in some “What’s good 4 Spring” type pix, too.
*Disclaimer* If you see your pic here, then you see me out…don’t run up on me. 1) I’m not the nicest person to run up on, and 2) You chose that outfit, not me! (lol) Continuing…

I spend most days thinking and planning and strategizing about how I can further help Melrose to pop. It can be an exhausting thing at times. That’s why I’m so happy to have friends that I can unwind with! Between us, we all have alot of ish on our tables and if we didn’t have a release of some sort, we wouldn’t be the fun/fab chicks that we are! (lol). I love ‘em!
Last night I ended an otherwise drab and no-so-eventful day at Door 44 with my girls Erika and Crystal. Crys was working, but still ever so social. Add to that Polow and our workout talk (yeah, in the club), some very nice girls (as opposed to standoffish “other girls”) and some cocktails- I enjoyed myself! Here’s some visuals:

Crys pouring drinks & making all the boys pause!

E peacin' up

Me and the Pam Andersons (lol)

The scene (I have to agree with BMC and JD...the "white" clubs pop)

What NOT to do in the club..NEVER fall asleep in the banquette with your mouth gaped open. LOL!
Fun stuff…..I’m off to work. Smooches.

Ahhhhh…I’ve found a new line to fall in love with!!! After I’d seen their new collection in many a magazine lately, I decided to see who was behind (and what else was in) the Rodarte line. Sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy have come up with some phenomenal looks that have got me seriously drooling. Check out these sick stilettos….

(as you can tell by the red bottoms, these were designed for Louboutin)

Today I went to bebe.com to buy these new platform pumps they have in their catalog…

…and the bad boys weren’t even available yet!!! (in a Stephanie Tanner voice) How rude! Why, oh why send me a catalog and a VIP savings card just to taunt me with something I can’t have?! *tears* I wanted to wear them when I sing next week. Oh wells, I can practice a little patience. They have some other ish I want, too, but I guess I’ll be waiting for them, too.
I also am itching to do another photoshoot. Yeah, already. I have a million and one ideas and looks I’d love for us to do. One pic I was that was just gor-jusss was this cover… Continue Reading

Last night I went to Sambuca and there was this dude there who I was really impressed by. His name is Rudy Currence and after he finished his set, I was like, “Uh, why does he not have a deal and people like Pleasure P do?!” This here music game is pure hilarity at times, I tell ya! Rudy’s at DTP now, but I’m just sayin….his voice is probably one of the most beautiful I’ve ever heard.
The vid I taped last night was too large of a file to post, so I found some footage of him on youtube. Dope indeed.

Today’s the day…KERI HILSON’S ALBUM IS FINALLY RELEASED! It’s been a long time coming and I know she’s beyond happy. I’m happy for her…she’s an extra sweet girl who’s got a gang of talent. I wasn’t sooooo sure about what she was gonna do at first. Those first 2 singles just didn’t hit, but after “Turning Me On” a new energy came about, it seems. Then I saw the lil teaser for “Make Love” and uhhhh…well, aside from being a good song, she looked bomb as heck and Mr. West, who’s swag I ADORE!!!!! looked pretty frikkin sexy in the vid. Yes, yes, I was suprised, too. Look:
Interesting….my interest was up.
And then I saw this “viral commercial” pumping up the actual new single “Knock You Down”, featuring Kanye and NeYo,and Miss Keri and ‘Ye seem awful chummy….
More interesting….as a self-proclaimed body language expert (lol), looks like these 2 got a lotta damn chemistry bouncing between ‘em and it looks to go a little past the camera lens. I’m just sayin’. Though (sidebar) Amber Rose is extra bomb. Maybe I’m partial to short-haired chicks (lol). No, that aint it…both girls are the ish! Is it the chemistry with Kanye that made me get way more interested? Who knew?!
Anywhooooo…I’m getting off subject. Check out the new video below (I LOOOOOVE THIS SONG! Story of my damn life!) and go cop that Keri album, In A Perfect World, today. Support Support Support! I’m about to buy my copy on itunes in 3…2…1…

Here’e CiCi’s new single “Love Sex Magic” featuring Justin Timberlake (written by him, too). I first hear this song a couple of weeks ago when I was in Los Angeles and thought to myself, “ok, I think she’s got a hit with this one!” It’s really radio friendly, safe poppy/r&B and it’s sexy. This visual doesn’t hurt the sexy-factor, either. My one and only gripe (though I almost don’t wanna give one) is that OK, we know you’re mad acrobatic and limber. Do we need to get a full 3 minutes of it in every video?! I’m just sayin’. BUT, as always, Ciara looks beautiful, body is bananas and the dancing is errrr….stimulating. Check it if you already haven’t.

I haven’t been updating as I’d like to….womp! Partly because Kee’s not here so we aren’t doing alot of Melrose-y things (*tears*), partly because what I DO do….uh, isn’t always up for public display (lol), and lastly because my internet hookup has become un-hooked. Where’s a homeboy when ya need him?! I don’t want to get new service because I’ll be West-Coast bound here shortly, but uyhhhh,,,,yeah.
Even though I’m not particularly looking forward to LA living (no diss to anyone who loves it), I am ready to be back in 100% work mode. We do what we do when we’re apart and the trips back and forth are cool, but I feel a lot more could always be jumping. As Neyo and Fab said, “I’m a movement by myself/ But I’m a force when we’re together.” Real talk. Plus when I’m busy, I stay out of b.s. and emotional crap.
Plus with the exception of a few of my girlies here in the A, I aint really got a lot of reason to be here. Aside from partying like a young Jade Jagger
, I feel my progression could be so much more…for example, there was a show opportunity next week, but I didn’t want to do it alone (well I DID want to get on the stage of course!) because if the goal is Melrose promo, why do a show as Mylah? Hmmmmm…..
So to pass the time, I’ve been indulging in dinners out, bowling, dranking (ha) and sleeping. I’d do more writing but the music I’ve been getting isn’t exactly making me want to record. I’m comparing everything to the Melrose stuff and that’s quite a shoe to fill! So I guess I can finally say…with less hesitation…I’m ready to *gulp* go to Cali. Let the process begin….

I don’t exactly like personal trainers because 1) I enjoy working out so I don’t need to be coerced into doing it (most of the time), and 2) Having someone breathing over me while I’m grunting and sweating isn’t exactly my idea of a good time (uhh….n/m…lol) But my old personal trainer, Joe, was great at making us do things that didn’t quite “look” like exercise but definitely did the trick. Anyone remember my lil lightweight 6-pack?!
That was alot of thanks to Miss Joe! Well, in addition to training, she also teaches pole dancing and pole-lates here in Atlanta. She’s since parlayed that into a gig on Lil Wayne’s I Am Music tour along with some other girls and Melrose’s honorary sister/member Candis (heeeey girl!). Here are some pix. Tell me this chick aint a beast! She’s in the green…

REALLY!?!! Hanging from the side of the pole like a flag with just your legs?! Wow.
Yeah, come on back to the A, Joe. I got to get firmed on up for the summer tour
