We are now officially in the midst of Scorpio season and the countdown to my bday is on! I’m semi-excited (lol) and I’m actually welcoming the whole “getting older” thing. I think I get a lil better and flyer with each passing year. Let’s call it experience!
There are alot of other cool people who were born under this sexy sign who will be celebrating with me. Most of them- I do see similarities in our auras. There were a few that surprised me, though….(Bill Gates and Hillary Clinton are Scorps!? Let me find out they’re ANYTHING like me, other than the powerful part – lolol!!!)
Gabrielle UnionOct. 29
Adonis Nov. 1 (songwriter/producer/homie)

Be forewarned, men….if you are at all funny on those who aren’t hetero, you may just wanna wait until my next post =)
So, since the Beyonce video is my new crack, of course I’ve been on youtube looking at all the fans’ “renditions” of Single Ladies. The kicker-most of the videos are done by men! Beyonce knows she’s got that demographic sewed the heck up! Characterville!!! This one could be the best….cause he’s actually killin’ it!

It’s early (for me!) Friday morning and I’m up about to get my day started. Of course part of that daily routine is to visit a couple other blog sites…my fave is concreteloop.com. I go there, and what vision do my eyes get blessed with?!
Uh-huh! Thank you, Mr. Beckford, for starting my day off with a big fat smile.
I guess I STILL owe the guys who come to this site something, right? Yeah, I’m hard at work on it! (lol)
That’s what I’ve been these last few days. But NOT because I didn’t feel like writing. So much has been going on, I actually could write about tons of things…but as always, can’t put everything out there. I will say that the last 2 weeks or so have been some of the most progressive and possibly life-altering days of my life. I mean, the word CHANGE is on everyone’s lips right now (the impending election is all about change!) but real transformations have been made in my world. Some will be very public, some were more personal. All were necessary and inevitable if I wanted to grow and get where I’m going. Change is never really comfortable…after all, the very nature of the word suggests that you leave behind what you’re accustomed to and do something different. Even if what you know isn’t great, you at least KNOW it. But as the great Albert Einstein said,
“Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”
I may be a different kind of chick and maybe even a little weird, but I’m not insane. Thus the changes! I started to analyze things in my life that were taking the most energy out of me and leaving me drained-either emotionally, financially, whatever. Okay, you? Gone. This? Outta here. Them? Kick rocks. And I kid you not, within DAYS of shedding, the light at the end of the tunnel was right in front of me. Not some far off speck of light like usual, but that ish was RIGHT THERE! Coincidence? I don’t think so. I don’t think coincidence fits into this category at all. This was pure serendipity…it was simply supposed to happen in this way.
I hesitate to put God in- because so many people misuse or insert God into situations where he clearly is not, or should not be- but I think that my blessings are not necessarily someone else’s blesssings, and vice versa. Meaning, if I have certain people/energy/things in my life, maybe the blessings are being blocked. It’s like if I was trying to walk through a door, but in front of me was piles and piles of ceiling-high garbage. It’d be pretty hard to get to the door. I certainly wouldn’t make it to the door without getting all dirtied up and stinky. But if the garbage is cleared away, the path to the door is clear and easy. I walked through my door less than 48 hours ago, and I cannot WAIT to see the outcome. And in a few more weeks, I’ll be making an even more drastic change to keep this momentum going. I was reluctant to shake things up to a certain extent, but now I’m all in. The old Me is back full swing…the one who isn’t content with letting life happen to her, but makes it happen for her! Well, I never completely fell into the “let’s life happen to her” category, but I got a little lax, I’ll admit. Not now, buddy. Whoo-hoo!
What is this…hot video day?! Ciara premiered HER new vid/single called “Go Girl” featuring T Pain. I gotta admit, I didn’t like this song one bit when I heard it, but after seeing this visual….DI-ZAM! I’m singing “go girl!” now. CiCi does rarely disappoint in the video department. So a thumbs way up!
Kanye did a world premiere of his new single “Love Lockdown” on the Ellen show today. Thanks Natasha at www.theybf.com for posting it so fast This is currently my favorite song!
I’m going to guess that video is expressing how empty and alone you feel when you’re in this position (“I’m in love with you/ but the vibe is wrong…” Yeah, I know that one!) and how savage and desperate you feel at the same time because that love isn’t being reciprocated. It’s a tough feeling (lol). First time I heard the song, I immediately identified, so the video kinda ties all those emotions together. Me likey!
I couldn’t help but post a recent pic of Miss Halle absolutely KILLIN’ it on the red carpet the other night…
Halle
She looks better after a baby than most chicks look PERIOD. And she’s not in her 20s! I can dig it. She’s on point.
And speaking of on point, one of my favorite dudes has a new single and video out. It’s Common with Pharrell and the song’s called “Universal Mind Control.”

Alot of people say that I look like Rihanna (or she looks like me…however you wanna word it). I say it’s because we both have big foreheads, but after seeing this pic, I kinda get it…
Me & Aubrey, fuzzy as heck
The similarity is funny for a few reasons Guess we DO look alike somewhat.
