Sleeping pattern is off & my mind is afloat. I’ve got a crazy energy running through my veins…excitement, fear, invincibility, vulnerability. The biggest emotion of all? Love.

Okay…I could go into a fairly long blog on this subject. But I won’t. Let me just reiterate how much I love Kanye West. A lot of people may say a lot of things about him, but I recognize the beautiful, if not conflicted, soul. He is one of the VERY FEW artists who inspire me. He’s one of the very few who is a creative individual who works very hard and is very passionate about their craft. I think what puts him above some of my other inspirations is his realness. He gives us him, TRULY flaws and all. We see the good, the bad, and the ugly. He’s human and that’s really something awesome to be in an industry where smoke and mirrors are par for course. I cannot wait to hear what he’s working on next, that’s for sure! One thing he’s updated (and what prompted this blog entry) is his website, which is now www.kanyewest.com. DopenessUponDopenessUponDopeness. I’m inspired all over again. Especially his honest post about nostalgia & the passing of Alexander McQueen. He really put himself out there. I can truly appreciate that.
‘Ye, I tip my hat to you, sir. I’m glad that you’re not afraid to be you…it helps me feel comfortable being me

So, seems like oxfords are the in-coming new thing for the ladies, if you choose to go the flats route. I for one am a fan of a sky-high heel (I loooove being 6 feet tall!) and when I DO wear flats, it’s usually a funky sneaker or a slouch boot. So I’m a lil funny on the Oxford. Something seems a little corny about them, unless they are as cute as these by Kimchi Blue.
Of course Urban Outfitters isn’t selling them anymore. Siiiigh. But I’ll be on the lookout for something similar anyway. They’d be super cute with a loose tank and a really tight mini.
I don’t know if you all have already seen this, but it’s cool to see Sade being “a person” instead of just “a singer.” She rarely does interviews, let alone something in the comedy realm!
